Ciro Antonio Ortez

Ciro Antonio Ortez Lobo was born in Honduras on January 28, 1977. On Sunday, April 11th, Ciro Antonio Ortez Lobo was taken from us in a tragic accident. Ciro will be remembered for his charming smile, good-hearted personality, and humbleness. Although Ciro faced many challenges in his life, he remained positive, motivated, and determined to accomplish his goals. He would constantly remind himself that even if he were to fall, he would get back up and keep on going. Even if someone were to treat him badly, he would respond with kindness, due to having God in his heart. He knew that it was never too late to change in order to remain happy. Ciro carried that mantra with him while attending Wilbur Wright College, where he was obtaining his associates degree in engineering and was due to graduate in May 2021. It is evident in many family members' memories that Ciro was known for not only his smile, but he remained selfless and was always forgiving. Ciro was a big fan of the Chicago White Sox and Chicago Bears. He also loved to watch and play soccer. Ciro was loved by all who knew him, and will be cherished forever in our hearts. Friends and members of the community are invited to join the Ortez-Lobo family on Saturday, April 17th, from 4 pm-9pm for a celebration of life service. This will be held at the Benson Family Funeral Home located at 3224 Montrose Avenue, Chicago, IL. Ciro is survived by his father and mother Ciro Antonio Ortez and Ives Danelia Lobo; his wife Seema Ortez; his children Ives Justine Ortez, Destinee Ortez-Garcia, Isaac Ortez-Garcia, Diego Ortez-Garcia, and Mia Ortez, his step-daughters Amber Jimenez, and Sumer Jimenez. Also, his siblings, Ives Danelia Ortez, Luis Ortez, Andrea Ortez, Paola Ortez, and Leonardo Ortez.
