Rafael Crame

Rafael Crame, 53, of Chicago, IL, born on October 31, 1968 to Consuelo Brosas and Joseph Llorante Crame in Manila, Philippines, passed away on December 29, 2021.

Rafael (Ralph) is survived by his loving wife of 19 years, Rocio. He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings Christopher (Anna), Fitzgerald (Cynthia), Arlene Joy (Nacito) Sanchez, and Aileen Jane (Brian) Carswell; siblings-in-law Maria (Michael Hudson), Salvador (Alexandra), Robert (Alicia), and Jesus Gutierrez; nieces and nephews Mila, Isabella, Olivia, Noah, Nico, Alana, Alyssa, Michelle, Savannah, Robert, Halima, Daniel, and Kylie.

Ralph worked as an engineer for the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). He worked for the FAA for 29 years and truly loved every minute of it.  

Ralph was a kind, witty, genuine, and generous soul who lived life to the fullest and made friends wherever he went. He loved parties, especially his annual Halloween/birthday bash, which brought so many of his family members and friends together.

Ralph loved traveling with Rocio. Some of their favorite destinations included Rome, Paris, London, Normandy, Spain, Beijing, the West Coast, New York, Mexico, and the Philippines.

Aside from their love of traveling, Ralph and Rocio shared many other common interests, including the Chicago Cubs, Mickey Mouse, and going to the movies. Not to mention, generously showering their nieces and nephews with love and attention. Ralph also loved his alma mater, Lane Tech, the school of champions.

Ralph will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
