Caius Vicas

Caius Silvan Gabriel Vicas, 47, passed away peacefully in his home in Antioch, Illinois on January 8, 2023.

Caius was born in Timisoara, Romania on September 18, 1975 to Teofil and Ofelia.  He and his family moved to Chicago in 1982. He studied computer science at University of Illinois and had a passion for gaming.  In his spare time he loved traveling and was an avid fan of Star Trek, Star Wars, and the Chicago Bears. Caius was a faithful follower of Christ.  This is not a goodbye but a see you later in heaven.

Caius is survived by his loving wife Diana (Sellner) of 24 years, his beautiful children Alin, Caleb, and Emma, parents Ofelia (Daniel) Ioanitescu and Teofil (Doina) Vicas, and brothers Jonathan Ioanitescu and Michael (Gabrielle) Vicas.  He was preceded in death by his adoring maternal grandparents Gabriel Stanescu and Marioara Mara, maternal great-grandparents Nicolae and Anastasia Arcan, and paternal grandparents Lazar and Iosana Vicas.

Burial to take place at Magnolia Park Cemetery in Warens Robins Georgia.  All questions should be directed to Benson Family Funeral Home, 773-478-5800.
