In Loving Memory of Carmelita Quinol Cancel
August 22, 1943 – August 2, 2026
Carmelita Quinol Cancel, age 82, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2026, leaving behind a life defined by love, family, and lasting memories. Her presence will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Born on August 22, 1943, to Francisco and Beatriz Quinol, Carmelita was a woman of warmth, strength, and deep devotion to her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, and the heart of her family, known for bringing people together through food, laughter, and togetherness.
She shared more than 60 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Juan Cancel, building a life rooted in love and unity. She was a proud mother to Richard and John, and a cherished mother-in-law to Christine. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren: Christa, Jaycee, Dexter, and Jalen, who brought her immense pride and happiness.
Carmelita enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, including cooking, traveling, shopping, and celebrating the Fourth of July, a holiday she especially loved for its family gatherings and joy. Her faith was an important part of her life, and she found peace in prayer and visiting churches during her travels.
She is lovingly remembered by her siblings: Richardo (Laura), Augustine (the late Mercedes), the late Francisco (the late Amparo), Erlinda, Alberto (Aurora), Rosalinda (Roger), the late Loretta, and Lito (Rachel), as well as many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
Carmelita will be remembered for her love, quiet strength, and generosity. Her legacy lives on in the family she built, the traditions she cherished, and the memories she created.
She will be deeply missed, forever cherished, and always remembered. May she rest in eternal peace.
