Cristina Garcia Rivera

Cristina Garcia Rivera of Chicago passed away on July 28, 2024 at the age of 84. She was born in Aguada , Puerto Rico on July 24, 1940 to Carmen Acevedo and Carlos Garcia . She moved from Puerto Rico  to New York before settling in Chicago in 1970 with her husband and children.

Cristina is succeeded by her 3 children Fernando Rivera, Elizabeth Rivera Arroyo, and Edgardo Rivera and her 8 grandchildren.

A dedicated mother, grandmother, and friend to many, she was a light to many and the life of the party. Her home was where the family made memories to last. Her legacy of compassion and generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
