David J Olson

David J. Olson passed away peacefully on January 25, 2026 in Chicago. He was 66 years old. He was preceded in death by his parents Donald and Shirley Olson, and daughter Susan Olson. Survived by his son Jason and daughter in law Maria, three grandchildren Aidan, Jayla, and Brody, and his sister Donna Brough and brother in law Sam, cousins and many friends. 

David was born and raised in Chicago and was an avid sports fan, particularly the Chicago Bears and Chicago Cubs. He enjoyed playing sports in his younger years. He also enjoyed traveling, bicycling, running, yoga, and going to the lake swimming or just to hang out.

David was a long time truck driver (40+ years) until his retirement.   He knew the city like the back of his hand. 

David left us too soon. Not forgotten, forever in our hearts! ❤️
