Francisca Maldonado, 84, of Chicago, IL, passed away on November 10, after a valiant battle. Francisca, known as Paca to her loved ones, was born on June 4, 1937, to Pablo and Juana Maldonado in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico. With her young children, she moved to the United States, where she lived in New York and Florida, though Chicago would always be her forever home.
Paca spent years as a seamstress for various industries, making everything from toys to travel bags. She was a master in the kitchen and never let someone leave her house without a plate! She enjoyed completing word search puzzles, playing bingo and a nice glass of wine. She will be dearly missed and always remembered.
Paca has been reunited in heaven with her parents, husbands, siblings, 2 sons and a daughter. She is survived by her children (Olga, Miguel and Elizabeth), sister (Irma), nieces, nephews and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
