Lorena De Jesus Acosta

Lorena De Jesus Munguia Acosta, a woman of boundless kindness, friendliness, and generosity, passed away on November 1, 2023, in Chicago, due to complications of cancer. Born on December 28, 1961, in Mexico, Lorena lived a life filled with love, joy, and the warmth of family and friends.

Lorena was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and daughter. She is survived by her children, Daniel, Arturo, and Lorena "Lorenita", her grandchildren, Anthony, Gisselle, Roselyn, Daniel Jr, Marissa, Alexander, Arthur, Andrew, Arabella Lorena, Arturo Jr, and Arcangel, her siblings, Carlos, Daniel, Mirna, Adela, and Arturo, and her mother, Maria del Carmen, fondly known as Pame. Each of them was a cherished part of her life, and she left an indelible mark on their hearts.

Lorena's interests were as diverse as they were heartfelt. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, such as cooking and sewing. Her late-night walks were a source of peace and reflection, while her love for crochet and knitting created tangible tokens of her affection that her family will treasure forever. Above all, Lorena was a woman of deep faith, and she spent countless hours praying for everyone's well-being.

Lorena's life was a testament to her kind spirit. She was always ready with a warm smile and a friendly word, making everyone around her feel welcome and loved. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she was always the first to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire all who knew her.

Lorena loved her family, sons and daughter, all of her grandchildren and prayed for their well-being.  Now she is an angel and will continue watching over all of them.

In her passing, we remember not just the sorrow of loss, but the joy and love that Lorena brought into our lives. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, and in the many lives she touched with her kindness and generosity. As we say goodbye to Lorena De Jesus Munguia Acosta.
