Maileke (Mike) Abdelkoui was born in Chicago on November 19, 1965. On April 23rd he was taken from us way too soon. Mike will be remembered for his love of 80’s Rock and Roll music and his outstanding mechanical abilities. To this day, Mike has a huge collection of old records, cd’s and cassette tapes. He loved music so much, he always bragged at how he played his hard rock music to put his 1st daughter to sleep in her swing. Mike started his passion for mechanics as a child walking around the neighborhood carrying his tool box, flash light, and a set of keys. There wasn’t much that Mike couldn’t fix whether it be a toilet, rebuilding an engine, or renovating a home. He enjoyed trips to Florida and taking his grandkids to the park as often as he could. Mike is survived by his mother Sakina Lehneche, children Amanda (Dimitrios) Maravelas, Michael (Stephanie) Abdelkoui, CC (David) Whitesell, Lauren Koran, and Robert De Monte. His siblings Nassardine, Kamal, Abdelhak, Salem, Fairouz Marszalek, Mathew, and Ben. Grandchildren Amir, Layla, Aria, Logan, Dean, Nathan, and Novalee. Mike is proceeded in death by his father Messaoud Abdelkoui, sister Salima Press, and brother AbdelHadi. Also survived by his beloved companion Jennifer Koran and several nieces, nephews and friends.
