Mario Roman, age 60, of Chicago, passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2025.
Mario was born on April 12, 1965, in Chicago. Mario was truly one of a kind, known for his natural gift for humor and passion for Chicago’s sports teams. Mario took great pride in his role as an electrical supply sales manager, where he diligently served clients for 28 years. Mario genuinely loved his work and the people he served. He cared deeply about his customers and took pride in what he did. His work ethic, dedication, and the relationships he built meant everything to him.
Above all, Mario loved his family and friends. Humor was his love language, and his laughter, stories, and unmistakable presence will be deeply missed. Laughter followed him everywhere, and he had a rare gift for making even the toughest days lighter.
If Mario had one last thing to say it would probably be a quick quip: “I’m good now, I got to live to see the Bears beat the Packers.”
Mario is survived by his son, Kyle (Eve) Roman and grandson, Hunter; his mother, Maria Irma (Carlos Eduardo) Roman; his father, Octavio (Maryla) Roman; and his siblings, Raquel Roman (Jeff) Powers, Irma Heineman (Bob), Mathew Roman, and Andrew Rivera; The Jensen Family and Carmen Alberti, who held a loving presence in Mario's life; and Little Raquel who he loved as a daughter. He was preceded in death by his brother, Octavio Roman.
