Moise Kasongo

Moise Tshomba Kasongo, 30, died on August 18, 2021, in Chicago, Illinois. Moise Kasongo was a loving brother, son, and friend. Most importantly he was a devoted father who left behind an eight-year-old son. Moise was born on April 13, 1991 in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Life in the Congo wasn’t always easy. A war broke out in 1996 that forced his family to flee from their home to neighboring countries before coming to Chicago, Illinois on July 20, 2000. Shortly after he and his family came to America his mother passed away on October 24, 2001. Moise was the oldest son who took on the responsibility of caring for his two younger siblings. Moise graduated from Niles West High School in 2012. He then proceeded to get a nursing degree from Harper College where he graduated in 2016. Moise later moved to Los Angeles, California where he proceeded to work and get his life in order. He was a hardworking man who did whatever it took to take care of himself. Moise’s life was cut short, but he will always be remembered as a loving soul who always took care of those around him. Moise is survived by his son, brother, sister and father.
