Patrick Emmett Lannon, 69 of Beach Park, IL passed away on Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at Advocate Condell Medical Center.
Pat was born on April 14, 1951 in Pittsburgh, PA to Emmett and Dorothy (Cratty) Lannon. In his Freshman year of High School, he was mistakenly placed in a girls gym class, as his schedule said Pat instead of Patrick. He thought this was the greatest and went to class, as he entered, the teacher proceeded to chase him around the entire gymnasium with a broom as he laughed and ran, among the giggling girls was his future wife of 50 years. In August of 1970 Pat married his soul mate, Linda (Logan) Lannon in Chicago, IL.
Pat was a volunteer for the Round Lake Area Mobile Eye where he worked alongside the Police Department, he held a Ham Radio Technician license, he loved to work on cars, was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and drove a truck for R&M Trucking for many years.
Pat is survived by his wife, Linda and their children, Katie (Richard) Lindstrom, Michael (Janeen) Lannon and Kellie (Samuel Balmes) Lannon; grandchildren (the joy of his life), Gianna, Gavin, Braden, Ivy, Kevin and Chelsea; siblings, Emmett Christopher Lannon and Dorothy (Cary) Mickiewicz; brother-in-law, Scott (Milica) Logan; and many loved nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and siblings, Elizabeth "Betty" York, James Lannon, Keith Lannon and Dorothy “Cindy” Kilburn.
A Celebration of Life will be held when it is safer to do so. His family hopes that everyone who has shared a joke, a magic trick, a drive in a VW or a touching moment with him will attend.
