Paul Ronald Livingston, 76, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2024, in Chicago, Illinois. Born January 1948, in Illinois, Paul was known for his courageous spirit, sharp wit, and deep commitment to his family and community.
A valiant serviceman, Paul served in the United States Marine Corp. during the Vietnam War. His military background influenced many aspects of his life, instilling a strong sense of discipline and respect in his personal and professional endeavors.
Following his military service, Paul embarked on several careers from truck driving to a computer software company. This is where he learned all the aspects of software. Then Paul went back to his love of over the road truck driving with Schneider, where he demonstrated exceptional skill and dedication, earning the prestigious 1 Million Safe Miles Award and proudly retired. He always excelled in all of his various jobs over the years.
Paul was a devout member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he actively participated and found spiritual solace.
His personal life was rich with hobbies and volunteer work. Paul was deeply involved with the Young Marines. He volunteered in cleaning the church buildings and also making boxes of food for less fortunate families around the holidays. He cherished organizing family reunions, traveling to pumpkin patches in the fall, and was passionate about genealogy, meticulously documenting his family’s history.
Paul leaves behind his loving wife of 52 years, Henrietta Livingston, and their children, Kelly (Alejandro Carbajal), Aaron (Nichole), Lisa, Brock (Sandra), Turson (Samantha), and Emily (Lenny Maldonado). He was a proud grandfather and has 16 grandchildren who are named, Ruby, Sam, Nathaniel, Eva; Eli, Bryton, Brianna; Christian, Cara; Natalie, Ethan; Lila, Alecsaender; Jaden, Josiah, and Joell. He is also survived by his brother Gary Naumowicz and sisters Sandra Ellis, Vicki Endcott, and Susan Owens.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Birgit and Perry; his sister Linda Lee; his son Jepson; and his grandson Aiden.
The Benson Family Funeral Home in Chicago, Illinois, is handling arrangements.
Paul's life will be celebrated and remembered for the profound impact he had on everyone he knew. His legacy of bravery, kindness, and dedication will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
