Piedad B. Lara cherished mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend known for her caring and kind spirit left us on September 22, 2024.
Born on August 26, 1945, in Quito, Ecuador to Domingo and Maria Virginia Bolanos. She moved to Chicago, Il as a young woman in 1970 where she worked as a seamstress for many years. In 1977 after a short courtship, she married Alberto P. Lara. During their 41years of marriage they had three children: Sara, Virginia and Jose.
Piedad enjoyed spending time in her garden looking after her many plants. She looked forward to seeing and spending time with her grandchildren; always making them laugh. Piedad loved being surrounded by family and friends.
Piedad was predeceased by her parents, 6 siblings and husband Alberto.
She leaves behind her children; Sara, Virginia (Damien) and Jose. Grandchildren: Alyssa K. Robles-Lara, Iliani Alina Lara, Damien Alberto Joseph and Mia Isabella Joseph. She is also survived by many loving family members and friends.
Piedad lived her life the best she knew and left wishing her children and grandchildren would find happiness in this world. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing she is no longer suffering, and her body is at rest.
