It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Pilar Reyes. She left us surrounded by family and love, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and cherished memories.
Born October 12, 1935 in Nasugbu Batangas, Philippines. Pilar Reyes was a dynamic and compassionate woman who touched countless lives. She was the devoted wife of Rodolfo Reyes, with whom she shared more than 40 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they built a loving family, raising five children—Jenica, Jessica, Jonah, Myla, and Roland—instilling in them values of love, resilience, and community.
A savvy businesswoman, Pilar Reyes owned and operated a successful restaurant for many years, where her passion for cooking and hospitality brought joy to many. Her establishment was not just a place to eat, but a gathering spot where countless friendships blossomed.
Family was the cornerstone of her life. She was a doting grandmother to 11 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 3, always finding joy in their laughter and growth. Her family gatherings were filled with laughter, delicious meals, and the warmth of her nurturing spirit.
As a sister, she was ever supportive and loving, sharing a special bond with Mody Valdepenas. Her friendships were deep and lasting, and her kind nature made her a best friend to so many.
In her leisure time, Pilar Reyes found joy in dancing, solving puzzles, and playing bingo, pursuits that brought her happiness and connection with others.
Her legacy of love, strength, and compassion will live on in the hearts of those she touched. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered for her unwavering love and the light she brought into our lives.
May she rest in peace, knowing she is deeply loved and will never be forgotten.
