THOMAS JOHN “TOM” KOKKINES

March 14, 1941 – November 4, 2025

Thomas John “Tom” Kokkines, 84, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.

Born in Greece on March 14, 1941, Tom was the beloved son of John and Konstantina Kokkines. As a young man, he immigrated to the United States, where he built a life defined by hard work, perseverance, and a deep devotion to his family.

Tom’s life reflected his adventurous spirit and his zest for life. He approached each day with gratitude and kindness, always ready with a helping hand or a warm smile. An avid golfer, Tom found joy and peace on the course, where he forged lasting friendships and treasured countless rounds played on the Chicago city courses.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Wendy; his sons, Shane (Christi), the late Edward and Thomas (Charice); and his cherished grandchildren, Leo, Vivian, Adam, Jennifer, Tommy, Nick, and Jordan and great grandchildren Atlas, Casper, Bennett and Ira. He is also survived by his loving siblings, George Kokkines, Billy Kokkines, and Kathy Sinodinos.

Tom will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and the deep love he shared with all who knew him. His legacy lives on in the values he instilled in his family and the many lives he touched.
